The lack of legal recognition of ancestral lands is one of the causes of dispossession that are the subject of the original peoples of the Sierra Tarahumara. Among the more obvious we offal timber extraction of medicinal and edible wild plants, land and their traditional forms of government and autonomy.

We are a network of civil associations dedicated to the overall defense of the human rights of the indigenous peoples of the Sierra Tarahumara and institutional strengthening of organizations in the network in order to achieve legal recognition of the territories and the preferential access natural resources of the peoples and communities of the Sierra Tarahumara.
